Dallas, Texas, January 18, 2025
January 18, members of the Iranian-American community in North Texas gathered in Dallas to protest the Iranian regime’s brutal crackdown on nationwide protests and to stand in solidarity with the Iranian people.
Speakers emphasized that thousands have been killed and more than 50,000 have been arrested during the latest unrest, underscoring the regime’s crimes against humanity.
Protesters echoed the voices of demonstrators inside Iran, calling for an end to all forms of dictatorship by rejecting both monarchy and theocracy in favor of democracy and equality.
The Iranian-American Community of North Texas (IACNT) urged the international community to increase sanctions on the regime, hold its leaders accountable, and recognize the right of Iran’s rebellious youth to confront the IRGC and other repressive forces. The event was well received by local media. Here is the coverage by CBS News Texas, the CBS News X account, and the Featuring Dallas Instagram account, to name a few.
