Dallas, Texas, November 18, 2025
Last week, several dozen members of our North Texas community traveled to Washington, D.C. to take part in the Free Iran Convention 2025 — joining more than a thousand Iranian-Americans, human rights advocates, youth activists, and community leaders from across the country.
Youth and Women — Voices of Hope
This day-long Convention featured multiple sessions outlining the path toward a free Iran. Two panels received particular attention for their powerful and forward-looking messages: the role of youth and the role of women in shaping Iran’s democratic future.
In the session titled “The Power of Youth in Driving Change in Iran,” young Iranians spoke about turning fear into hope, resistance into organization, and repression into determination. They described how students, young professionals, and emerging activists are becoming the driving force behind Iran’s transition to democracy.
On the “Women as Vanguard of Democratic Change” panel, speakers reflected on more than a century of women-led struggle — from the constitutional movement to today’s nationwide protests — emphasizing the indispensable leadership of Iranian women in the fight for freedom, equality, and human rights.
We are proud that members of our North Texas delegation were not only present in the audience, but were also among those engaged in supporting these moving testimonies. Their participation reflects our community’s enduring commitment to the people of Iran — especially its youth and women.
Key Voices & Speakers at the Convention
The Convention showcased prominent keynote speakers and experts who reinforced both the urgency and the viability of democratic change in Iran. Among the distinguished speakers were:
Local activists, former political prisoners, youth representatives, and experts on democratic governance also contributed, turning the Convention into more than just a gathering — it was a detailed and actionable vision for Iran’s democratic transition.
Our Message from North Texas
Our community echoes the core message of the Convention:
Regime change in Iran is inevitable, and a viable democratic alternative with a clear plan and vision already exists.
We remain committed to advocating locally and nationally, raising awareness, and supporting Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan for a free, secular, and democratic Iran — an Iran where every citizen, especially youth and women, has a voice, a place, and a future.
